Made an early - 8 o'clock start for our drive, by tuk tuk, out to the start of the walk to the Kuang Xi Waterfalls

Walking up hill

At one point the road was too steep for the tuk tuk to get up with us on board, so we had to walk.

A water buffalo stood by smiling at our puny efforts.

Waterfall
|
At mid-day we reached the waterfalls. They were not as high, nor as wide, nor as powerful as many waterfalls we have seen, but for splendor, they must be the best

Tiger
|
The park also held a captive Indo-China tiger, call Phet, and sun bears, all of which have been orphaned or captured by poachers. Although not ideal, great efforts have been made to make their captivity as comfortable as possible. They would not survive if released into the wild.
