Brick ship restaurant
|
Joined an organised tour to the My Son Temple. On the drive out we passed a brick ship! When finished, it will be a restaurant.

Bamboo bridge

The way in to My Son used to be over a bamboo bridge, but it has now been replaced with a more substancial structure.

From the main gate to the ruins was a distance of about 2km. Jeeps were provided to take visitors to the ruins, however, with a long queue and only three jeeps in operation we opted to walk.
At the temple we were given an exhibition of Cham dancing, which had it's origins in India.

For our return journey, for the last few kilometres, instead of going the whole way by bus, we boarded a boat. For the extra $5,as well as the pleasant river trip, we got lunch as well.

All the boats had Buddha eyes painted on their bows; to protect then and also to help them find fish.
